    McCain hates you personally
"It may be typical of the pro-Obama Dungeons & Dragons crowd to disparage a fellow countryman's memory of war from the comfort of mom's basement, but most Americans have the humility and gratitude to respect and learn from the memories of men who suffered on behalf of others,” (McCain aide Michael Goldfarb) wrote.

My favorite news story of the day
On a day when Russia invaded Georgia but John Edwards' affair takes prominence on US news sites, I have found a new favorite news story, thanks to John Kovalic:

Dog-cloner denies she was Mormon sex kidnapper Joyce McKinney

And Obama's rush to the right continues
Now he's joining Bush and McCain in pushing offshore drilling - not just environmentally destructive, but also no particular help to our energy needs and a diversion away from truly getting them under control

    http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSN0140632620080802

My favorite Obama Bushism in this one?

... "a careful, well thought-out drilling strategy that was carefully circumscribed to avoid significant environmental damage ..."

That less significant damage is fine with Obama. Yeah, we'll just increase all that insignificant environmental damage that offshore drilling has done so far - destroying barrier reefs, helping drive threatened species to the brink of extinction with every spill and leak, continuing to have huge leaks during hurricanes ... and all with only the most limited impact on our energy reserves, and with no impact at all for years (except to distract resources away from conservation and alternative energies). And, of course, once they get the right to open new drilling areas, it's next to impossible to close that up even when more damage begins.

Obama's going to the right so fast he's in danger of lapping McCain

Government finally admits it will seize your laptop for any reason for as long as it pleases
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/01/AR2008080103030.html

My favorite line? From retarded pigfucker Jayson P. Ahern (I hope he does regular blog searches of his names; that is, fucking asshole Jayson P. Ahern) of the US Customs Service:

Federal agents seizing your laptop, with no suspicion whatsoever of wrongodoing, and going through all your files, "do not infringe on Americans' privacy."

Here is Bruce Schneier on protecting your information:

    http://www.schneier.com/essay-217.html

Yes, anti-American terrorist pedophile Jayson P. Ahern, your policy is useless, except as a way to fuck with law-abiding people. Scum-sucking turdbait Jayson P. Ahern, anyone you would have caught with this policy would be too stupid to have succeeded anyway, but you will get your petty little pleasures rooting through people's private info and photos anyway, watermelon-raping chicken lover Jayson P. Ahern.

    Never Talk to the Police
Many of you know that I show the Busted! movie whenever possible. It teaches you how to deal with various police encounters. Now, to drive home one of its main lessons, that you need to protect your Fifth Amendment rights whenever dealing with the police, here is a law professor from Regents University, of all places.

And this Virginia Beach police officer is just as good

More suggestions of vote tampering in Georgia
    From Rick_day:

    http://rawstory.com//news/2008/Cybersecurity_expert_raises_allegations_of_2004_0717.html

    Excerpt:

A leading cyber-security expert and former adviser to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) says he has fresh evidence regarding election fraud on Diebold electronic voting machines during the 2002 Georgia gubernatorial and senatorial elections.

This site has more info on Georgia elections in general:

    More TSA fun
I haven't written anything about the TSA in a while, since despite a continuing series of moronic actions by that agency, it really got to feel like I was picking on that kid who really could do nothing but sit in the dirt and eat ants. My favorite one this year had to do with them confiscating items passengers had been given *on planes*. However, this one is so indicative of its problems that I could not pass it up:

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/14/air.marshal.investigation/index.html

Yes, again instead of directing resources at solving an internal problem, they try to root out the evildoers who brought it to light. So symptomatic of the bloated fraud that is this agency and its terrorist theater.

EDIT: And then there is this one:
